School timings 

7:45am - 8:40am - Brown's Explorers Breakfast Club - Enter via the Main Entrance.

8:40am - School gates open.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES - Children will enter the main gates and walk to their classroom doors. Children in Reception can be accompanied by their adult to the classroom for the first week of school.

Why have we made this change? This allows a brisk start to the day and will maximise learning time, allowing children to settle into school quickly and ensure that staff are available for face to face teaching straight away each morning.

8:50am - School gates close - any pupils arriving at school after 8:50am will need to be accompanied to the school office and signed in.

3:10pm - School gates open for parents to gather on the playground.

3:15pm - End of School day - Children will leave via their class entrances/exits to meet their parents on the playground.

3.15pm - 5:30pm Brown's Explorers After School Club - Children to be collected and signed out from the hall via the Main Entrance (Please Note: Explorers closes at 5.00pm on a Friday).

Uniform 

Our School Uniform

Wearing a school uniform gives our school an identity and looks smart. We are looking forward to the children returning to school in September looking smart! Please remember we do not allow children to wear jewelry - chains or bracelets of any kind. Earings should be small studs only and must be removed on PE days.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES - We will be requiring children to wear school uniform every day of the week. Days of the week when PE kits will be required will be shared with you when we return in September. Mrs Maddick and Mr Trafford place great emphasis on a smart school uniform and look forward to seeing all the children following the simple uniform guidance below.

Our Uniform these are required

• Navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan (with or without school logo)
• Plain white polo shirt or blouse
• Grey or black trousers, shorts, skirt
• PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE - Blue gingham dress may be worn in the Summer
• PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE - Socks and tights should be grey
• No leggings
• Shorts, skirts and dresses must be of a modest length.

Footwear

• Smart sensible black school footwear is required – no trainers or boots

Book Bags - optional

Book bags are given to the children as they enter Reception or as they join our school after Reception as a welcome gift.

PE

We encourage our pupils to take part in individual and team sports as often as possible including extra-curricular activities.  It is therefore very important that every child has their PE kit in school at the appropriate times.

If your child is unfit to do PE (including swimming) please inform the teacher involved, preferably in advance and by letter.

PE kit - only to be worn on days when your child's class are doing PE - required

• Navy Shirt (with or without the school logo and branding)
• Blue shorts
• Plimsolls or Trainers

Winter/outdoor PE kit should consist of a blue tracksuit/jogging bottoms and a hoody/sweater . We would prefer this to be Navy Blue and unbranded.

PE Bags - optional

PE bags are available from the school office.  Please do not use large sports bags as we have limited locker space.

We have two ways in which you can purchase our school uniform.

Arion can offer collection from the shop, free of charge or alternatively £4.00 for 3-5 days postage per order, they also offer a weekly delivery to school free of charge.
