Next week we are so excited to host 4 Science Workshops in school free of charge thanks to the organisation - Bourne Sci-Fest. we know that the children are going to have an amazing experience - photos to follow. Bourne Sci-Fest is completely volunteer run and is not for profit. Every penny donated goes to primary schools like ours to benefit the children in broadening their experience of Science as a living subject. As an additional fundraiser and special show they are hosting Dr Matt Pritchard for a brilliant family friendly (Year 2 and above) show. Sensory spaces Our mobile has now become a fantastic sensory space. We know occasionally our young learners can become dysregulated or feel overwhelmed. Having a dedicated space for them to take a moment, regulate and be ready to learn again is fantastic. Gymnastics Daffodils class have been looking at using points and patches to balance and different jumps. Today we added in equipment and the children rose to the challenge and produced some interesting balances and finished off with a range of jumps off the equipment. Stone Age Cave Daffodils arrived in class on Friday and found a stone age cave had appeared in the classroom. Mysterious happenings DAFFODILS CLASS SOMETHING STRANGE HAS HAPPENED. After you left school tonight I went to check in the classroom and where the sink area is a black curtain has appeared and inside the area has changed. We can't wait for you to arrive tomorrow to enter the new mysterious room! It was too dark to see I will bring torches for tomorrows adventure! What could it be??? Just to let our community know that we have a drone filming areas of the school site at some point from 14th - 16th August. This is to film the school and all appropriate permissions and safeguards are in place. We are not filming while children are at school as we only require footage of the site.
